A
twelve-year veteran of law enforcement, Denny brings a distinct
perspective to helping accused citizens. Prior to finishing college,
Denny worked in the Fingerprint Division at FBI headquarters in
Washington, D.C. Following college, Denny was a member of the Houston
Police Department from 1977 to 1982. For the next five years he
served as a Special Agent of the United States Secret Service. Denny
protected President Reagan, Vice President Bush and also served
in the protective intelligence squad in charge of investigating
threats against the President. Denny also conducted numerous investigations
of counterfeit currency and financial obligations during his Secret
Service career. While in this position, Denny attended law school
and received his J.D. from South Texas College of Law in 1987. Upon
graduation from law school, Denny was admitted to the Texas Bar
in 1988 and began practicing criminal defense law, initially with
the firm of Hinton, Sussman & Bailey, and later with his own
firm.
Denny has tried numerous state
and federal court felonies and misdemeanors, locally and throughout
Texas. He has spent extensive time in all Harris County criminal
courts, including four years as adjunct defense attorney for defendants
in the 338th District Court in Harris County, giving him a unique
understanding of, and familiarity with, the workings of state district
courts in Harris County and the judges and personnel assigned to
them. Denny has represented a number of law enforcement officers
in grand jury investigations and civil rights violations, and worked
on federal litigation involving multi-defendant cases and forfeiture
cases.
Denny has represented numerous

crimes, and civil forfeiture cases.
Denny was born in Texas City,
Texas on June 18, 1953. He attended Southeastern State College on
a basketball scholarship and received his B.S. in criminal justice
from the University of Houston at Clear lake City. He is a member
of the Houston Bar Association, State Bar of Texas, and the Harris
County Criminal Lawyers Association.
